We're Joining Outlier Ventures' Post Web Accelerator 🚀
We’ve been building the infrastructure to reimagine how digital economies are created, coordinated, and monetised — not just in web3, but in the era beyond it. What Outlier Ventures calls The Post Web
Hi friends of Open Format,
We’ve got big news: Open Format is joining the initial cohort of Outlier Venture’s Post Web Accelerator - and it couldn’t be a more perfect fit.
We’ve spent the last year building the infrastructure to reimagine how digital economies are created, coordinated, and monetised — not just in web3, but in the era beyond it. What Outlier Ventures is calling “The Post Web” is exactly the future we’re building towards. You can read their full thesis here.
From Platforms to Protocols. From Attention to Intention.
Today, digital economies are run by platforms - extractive, siloed, and optimised for clicks. The web is noisy, attention is hijacked and value accrues to the few. The Post Web thesis flips this.
It imagines a world where “intent replaces attention, where autonomous agents act on your behalf, and where open infrastructure - not platforms - powers economies that are composable, verifiable and user-owned.”
In this future, digital economies aren’t built for platforms - they’re built for people and intelligent agents. This is exactly where Open Format comes in.

Where We’re At Now: A Co-Pilot for Communities
We’ve set out to reach our vision with a number of strategic stepping stones. The first of which is community coordination and incentivisation.
Our product today - Intelligent Communities - is a co-pilot for web3 communities. It helps teams understand, coordinate and reward contributors in real time. It’s the starting point for solving the systemic inefficiencies around task distribution, contributor visibility and value exchange. And it's already live, with our agents deployed and feedback flowing in.
But this is just the first stepping stone.
Where We're Going: Infrastructure for the Computable Economy or what we call, Digital Economies of the Future
We’re building towards a modular framework for what the Post Web calls computable economies - systems where AI agents and humans operate side by side, where smart contracts, credits, micro-transactions and dynamic incentives enable economies to grow, evolve and self-optimise.
Think:
Onchain credits
Revenue splits and programmable rewards
Fiat on/off ramps
Economy simulation and agent-native incentives
This isn’t just a toolkit. It’s an operating system for the digital economies of the future - composable, agent-compatible and scalable across industries, from creators to open source contributors to AI-native businesses. This directly echoes the Post Web’s vision of an unbundled, agent-driven infrastructure layer.
Why Now? Why Outlier Ventures?
Because the shift from the web3 we’ve known to the Post Web we need isn’t a linear upgrade - it’s a transformation.
As the Post Web thesis describes, web3 was never about the web layer — it was always a back-end revolution waiting for AI to complete the stack. Web3 gave us the backend. AI is giving us the interface. The Post Web is the convergence and Open Format is building the economic layer that makes it usable, scalable and sustainable.
Outlier Ventures has been pioneering this space since before it had a name. Their investment in the convergence of AI and decentralised systems mirrors our thesis: that coordination, not centralisation, is the real unlock.
Being part of this cohort is an alignment of vision. And it’s validation that what we’re building is not just timely - it’s necessary.
What’s Next?
Over the next 12 weeks, we’ll be refining the next phase of our product, expanding our reach and designing a token model that fits with our longer term vision...🚀 Stay tuned.
With love and gratitude,
Sarah & the Open Format team
