What we've been up to. June '25
Biggest product drop yet, updated positioning, training community brains, demo day pitching, building a privacy-first context layer and our first AI engineers shipping code
Hi friends of Open Format,
June has been one of our most defining months yet. We’ve on-boarded some awesome new communities, launched our biggest product update to date, started laying the foundations for fees and completed Outlier Ventures’ Accelerator programme.
We’ve also evolved how we talk about ourselves and how we bring to life our vision… let’s dive in.
TL;DR
🚀 v0.2.0 is live
Our biggest release yet - connect Discord/Telegram, generate impact reports and get AI-powered reward recommendations in minutes.

🔥 Turbo Takeover
We’re working with our friends at Turbo to train their “Community Brain” in an 8 week experiment. Live assistants, real data, real-time rewards.
🔒 Private Context Layers
We’re exploring how to run AI inside TEEs (Trusted Execution Environments) - keeping user data encrypted, even from us. Privacy-first, ownership-enabled infrastructure.
🤖 Our first AI engineer is shipping
With Codegen, our AI dev has already closed 7 tickets.
💳 Payments infrastructure underway
Stripe integration is in motion. Testing starts soon as we prep to launch tiered pricing and begin monetising.
🎤 Outlier Ventures: demo day done
We wrapped the Post-Web Accelerator with a strong demo day and a product that’s ready to scale.
🤝 Foundry Club partnership
We’ve been selected as a core tech partner for The Foundry Club, a new contribution-led web3 ecosystem backed by Foundership.
👋 Welcome Leo!
Our new intern, Leo, is joining us for the summer to support content, growth and internal AI workflows.
✨Catch us at EthCC
The team is heading to EthCC from Sunday. If you’re around or know someone we should meet - investor, partner or customer - let us know!
Product v0.2.0 is live
On June 9th, we launched v0.2.0 - the most powerful version of Open Format yet.
We've significantly improved our platform's onboarding journey. Users can now connect their social platforms (Discord and Telegram), generate impact reports and have reward recommendations in just a couple of minutes.
We’ve also seen how powerful our reporting is across multi-language communities. Surfacing sentiment, trends and reward recommendations no matter what language people are speaking. Watch the product demo
One user said to me last week “Open Format will reshape how community management is done across web3.” ❤️
Andy and Ollie have been working on a prototype that brings our vision to life: Try the vision prototype for yourself or check out our teaser below:
New website, sharper proposition
We had some feedback that community copilot was either ‘too microsoft’ or just not saying enough about the value of what we’re actually building…
I had a conversation a month ago with someone we’re working with that went like this:
Them: “Sarah, this is way more than a community co-pilot. I’ve used the product, I get the vision, it’s basically Hubspot but for communities, right?”
Me: “Well, yes. But instead of measuring clicks and likes and it being transactional, we’re focused on contribution and using AI agents to coordinate value at scale across communities. And those agents get smarter over time because of the knowledge layer we’ve built in, which communities can add specific context to and the agents can read”
Them: “That’s awesome. Can’t you find a better way to explain that in your messaging?!”
And so we’ve tried. And this is where we’re at: Open Format is the Web3 CommunityOS
Our AI agents live inside community platforms (Discord, Telegram, Github etc), detect high-value contributions and trigger intelligent actions in real time.
Our CommunityOS enables:
Real-time contributor recognition across platforms
Automatic reward distribution (tokens, points, badges)
Actionable impact reports + live community insights
A unified dashboard for coordination, tracking and memory
Onchain reputation and memory owned by you and portable across your stack
Built for multi-channel, multilingual, 24/7 operation and getting smarter with every interaction.
Check out the updated website: openformat.tech and please do share any thoughts and feedback 🙏
Open Format Turbo Takeover
We’ve just kicked off a bold new experiment with the Turbo community - the original AI memecoin with a $290M+ market cap.
Over the next 8 weeks, we’re helping them train their Community Brain (aka knowledge layer).
Here’s what that looks like:
Our AI-powered Community Assistants are now live in Turbo’s Telegram and Discord
Turbo’s team has access to our dashboard for analytics, sentiment and rewards recommendations
Every day, we review recommendations from the assistants - reward community members and learn what works (and what doesn’t)
Will be sharing more about this and our learnings as we go.
R&D: Private Context Layers
We're working on ways to make AI models more private and secure. We're exploring protected environments (called TEEs) that can run AI while keeping data completely private. Recent technology advancements now allow these secure environments to work with LMMs.
Our goal is to create systems where your data remains encrypted and private throughout the entire process - even we wouldn't be able to see your information. Though this technology is still in development, it will give our users more control and ownership over their data in the future.
Our first AI engineer 👀
We’ve started experimenting with Codegen and our first AI software engineer has already shipped 7 Linear tickets.
It's helping us move faster, clear tech debt and evolve towards a more AI-native development workflow.
Payment infrastructure: in motion
We’ve begun work to integrate Stripe into our product, enabling us to charge based on tiered pricing. 🚀 Testing will start the week after next.
Outlier Ventures: Demo day done!
We’ve officially wrapped up our time in the Outlier Ventures Post-Web Accelerator with a demo day presentation on Wednesday.
There is so much to say about this whole experience and I will be writing a separate post about that, but for now we're walking out with momentum and a product that’s ready to scale and that we can start charging for.
To see the pitch, please get in touch.
Open Format x Foundry Club
Open Format has been selected as a core tech partner for the launch of The Foundry Club (TFC) - a contribution-led platform and incentivised web3 community.
TFC is the latest initiative from Foundership, a global accelerator and VC backing the next wave of web3, AI, and emerging tech startups. The Foundry Club is more than a platform - it’s designed to empower contribution and collaboration at scale across blockchain ecosystems.
Welcome to our new Intern, Leo!
Leo is a Business Technology graduate who’s interning with us for the next few months and we’re so happy to have him here with us! He will be working with Dan and I on content, growth and on our internal AI processes.
🌍Catch us at EthCC!
We’ll be at EthCC from Sunday! Bruce, George, Andy, Leo, Dan and I will all be in Cannes meeting potential and existing customers, attending events, speaking to our partners and potential investors.
We’re all very excited! If you’re going or know anyone we should be meeting up with while we’re there - potential customers, investors or tech partners, please let us know.
With love and gratitude,
Sarah & the Open Format team✨
